I was working on mobile and desktop application that scans the user’s face and compares it to their profile photo. This ensures that only the authorized person can access the platform and prevents anyone else from pretending to be them.
Yeo Messaging was founded in 2015 and quickly became a popular tool for easy and secure messaging for teams and individuals. They came to me to simplify their onboarding experience, develop new features, and improve the overall user experience, while also updating their visual design to feel fresh and modern.
Additionally, I was tasked with creating a new web application for business use. The main goal of this application was to ensure cyber-resilient, private, and compliant communication with real-time authentication, empowering teams to communicate with confidence.
We worked closely with Yeo’s leadership team, including their Head of Product and CEO. Together, we held workshops and created early sketches to generate ideas.
We brainstormed and quickly created prototypes of possible new features. After reviewing these ideas and getting feedback, we chose four features to focus on.
AI Continuous Facial Recognition: YEO uses patented AI face recognition to check who you are in real time. It doesn’t just verify you at login but keeps checking during your session to keep messages safe and stop unauthorized people from seeing them.
Geofencing & Location-Based Control : the business or sender controls where messages can be read, keeping them secure and private.
No Forwarding, Copying, or Screenshots: the sender controls all content from unauthorised distribution, and users request to save attachments.
End-to-End Encryption: Keeping your messages, files, and media fully encrypted, ensuring they stay private from end to end.
After the redesign, we kept working closely with Yeo in weekly design sprints to improve the ideas. In the end, we delivered finished designs and prototypes for all features, which Yeo then tested with their users.
